Cookies Policy

How we use cookies and similar technologies on our website, and how you can control them.

Last updated: 29 May 2026 · UK GDPR & PECR compliant

01About this policy

This Cookies Policy explains how Norfolk Medical Imaging Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under reference ZC042792, uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit norfolkmedicalimaging.co.uk.

It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more generally.

02What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, to improve the experience, and to provide information to the site’s owner. We also use similar technologies such as tracking pixels (for example the Meta Pixel) and browser storage. For simplicity we refer to all of these as “cookies” in this policy.

03Our legal basis

Under UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, “PECR”) we can only place cookies on your device where they are strictly necessary for the site to work, or where you have given your consent. We ask for your consent the first time you visit our site through a cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time using the button below.

The button above is wired to common WordPress cookie plugins (CookieScript, Cookiebot, CookieYes). Your developer will need to point it at the specific plugin you install.

a. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function. They support things like keeping your booking session active, security, and remembering your cookie preferences. They cannot be switched off because the site would not work properly without them. Set by WordPress, our booking platform (BookingPress) and our cookie banner plugin.

b. Analytics cookies (set only with your consent)

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, which pages are most useful, and where we can improve. Google Analytics cookies collect information such as the pages you visit, the time spent on each page, the device and browser used, and an anonymised IP address. We do not use this information to identify you personally.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

c. Marketing and advertising cookies (set only with your consent)

We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, to show our adverts to relevant audiences, and to avoid showing the same ads to people who have already taken action on our site. The pixel may share information with Meta about pages you visit and actions you take, such as making a booking enquiry.

If you also receive marketing emails from us via our email provider ([Mailchimp / other]), those emails may contain tracking pixels that tell us whether you opened the email or clicked a link. You can opt out by unsubscribing using the link at the bottom of any of our emails.
